Women's Groups

Ludlow Women's  Institute,  www.ludlowwi.org.uk ,  Lively institute of around 60 members.  There are opportunities for members to extend their skills and abilities in smaller interest led groups.  They meet on the forth Wed of each month at St Peters Parish Centre, Henly Road at 7.30pm.


Mothers Union (Ludlow Team Ministry),  meets at the Bishop Mascall Centre, every second Tues in the month at 2.30pm.  This is a christian organisation centred on the commitment to marriage and the family.  Talks and services are arranged throughout the year and a party is held in January and an outing in June.  A membership fee is payable at the rate of £16.00 per annum.  Each meeting costs £1.00 which includes refreshments.  The Ludlow Branch Leader is Shelagh Jenkins, tel no. 01584 874105. 

Ludlow Parish Wives,  meets fortnightly on Mondays  7.45pm-9.30pm at St John Centre, Smithfield Car Park, Ludlow, Shropshire.  Meetings are held between September and June.  They meet for talks, demonstrations and outings to various places including garden centres and places of interest.  They also fund raise for one charity per year.  Membership costs £10 a year, and £2.00 per meeting which includes tea, coffee and biscuits.  Non members pay £2.50 per meeting, but only for a maximum of two meetings then they must join.  For more information contact  Jayne Grant, the leader on 01584 873094.

Ludlow Wives and Friends  this is a friendly group based at the Methodist Church in Broad Street, Ludlow.  It attracts ladies of all denominations, or none.  Everyone is welcome, including men when the topic of the evening is of special interest.  The contact is Mrs J E Williams  telephone is 01584 875220.

Ludlow and District Townswomen's Guild, this group meets at Guy Thornicroft Court, Tollgate Road, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 1TW every  2nd Tuesday each month from January onwards  (ex Aug), at 2pm.  The meetings are social events with speakers, or outings and other activities agreed by the members.  The groups is open to visitors at a charge of £1.00, full members pay an anunual subscription of £24.00.  The contact is Fay Lund Chairman  tel 01584 875643, fay.lund1@btinternet.com   www.townswomen.org.uk
