Voluntary organisations who do things within the withing the community from time to time just need that little bit of extra financial support. Raising funds can take many forms, from organising fund raisers such as concerts, raffles, sponsored walks, swimathons etc.. and can improve groups finances as well as being great fun.
Outside grants can also provide funding to help groups do much more. Having a bank account, producing basic accounts, having a dissability and possibly a child protection policy can go a long way to enable grant givers to look favourably on applications. As well as having a well thought out and viable project showing that the grant will have a positive impact on the community.
